Haven Wilder 4.3

Barrell has rapidly become one of my favorites, as every sample seems to be at least very good, and often exceptional. The infinity project takes multi-source blending to another level with barrels from around the globe. I'm eager to try this. The aroma is potent with alcohol vapors, so inhale gently. Around that, there's a jumble of scents: rye, perhaps a touch of mint, a bit of oak... The first taste is clearly a blend. The proof's heat is present, and the rye from the aroma takes center stage. There's also some bright, sweet corn on the edges. An almost syrupy texture coats the mouth as it moves from a sweet rye opening to a spicy pepper finish. Overall, this is another strong offering from Barrell. Similar to Compass Box, they've mastered blending barrels from various sources into a harmonious symphony.

Ursula Oshea 3.5

Big vanilla, caramel, and extremely sweet on the nose. On the palate, it wasn't as harsh as anticipated, but friends added an ice cube to my drink before I could finish rating it. So, after an ice cube, it's a little challenging on the palate. I'll revisit it.

Orlando Sherwood 3.8

Aroma - pear and golden raisins, sharp ethanol, vanilla and honey, baked spiced apples Palate - smooth and light, sharp lemon peel, honey, faint metallic notes Finish - lingering lemon peel and sharpness, medium burn

Rodger Bergeron 3.8

Very good overall. The aroma hits hard with ethanol and vanilla. The taste leads with vanilla, then transitions to chocolate and significant rye spice. The finish is quite long with more rye spice. The mouthfeel is medium.
