Barrell Bourbon Batch 008, a cask strength bottling at 132.8 proof, originates from Tennessee for sourcing and aging but is crafted and bottled in Kentucky. The mash bill for this 9.5-year-old bourbon consists of 70% corn, 25% rye, and 5% malted barley. It was aged in a new American oak barrel with a #4 char. This release is part of a series where each batch offers a unique profile.

The aroma is excellent. Sweet and very nutty on the tongue. Rich caramel. Hints of buttery bread and movie theater popcorn, nutmeg, and leather. It finishes with orange peel and cacao bits. It drinks smoother than its alcohol content suggests, but it does bring warmth. This is exceptional. 6/29/18
Fiery! Not for the faint of heart. This is intense. Also quite good.
