Bacardí Añejo Cuatro

Remember your first pill? It got stuck on your tongue, right? If you want that taste again, this rum is for you. It's smooth, its only good point, but the flavor makes it nearly undrinkable alone. Adding water brought out a light smokiness, but it was quickly overwhelmed by the initial pill flavor. I had to write a longer review to warn you all. I hope other ages of this brand are better.

Visited Casa Bacardi in Puerto Rico. I figured this four-year rum would be a pleasant, aged drink. However, that wasn't Bacardi's goal, as they told us. This is a better option for mixed drinks than their Blanco. Seriously, it costs $20. What did you expect?

Quite good, but I'll opt for Bacardi Carta Negra in the future. The latter is smoother, sweeter, and half the price.

This is enjoyable on its own, with a pleasant rum profile and minimal ethanol burn. An essential for making excellent tiki drinks!

Slightly medicinal aroma, with hints of cane and caramel. Medicinal/sweet taste that is somewhat off-putting.

Not as smooth as other aged Bacardi varieties, with subtle underlying fruit notes.
