To commemorate Destilería Serrallés' 150th anniversary, Don Q reintroduced its 151 rum, which had been unavailable for some time. This expression is notable as the second overproof rum released by a Puerto Rican distillery. Don Q 151 is a combination of light and dark rums aged for at least three years in previously used American oak barrels.

Surprisingly smooth for a spirit primarily intended to deliver ethanol. Despite its proof, it offers more flavor than one might expect, including notes of caramel, molasses, and tobacco. It's not meant for sipping, obviously, but it will enhance a cocktail or improve a pleasant but low-ABV sipping rum.
Easy on the nose with dried bananas and coffee aromas. Quite sweet taste with chocolate and dried fruit flavors. Finish is smooth vanilla on the throat, coffee, tobacco in the mouth.
Very potent, with a pleasant aroma, suitable for enhancing a mojito, for instance.
A zesty, fruity taste stands in contrast to robust Demerara 151s. Creates a tingling sensation.
Excellent for mixing.
