This is a potent, herbaceous aperitif or cordial that hails from Lebanon. It is crafted from distinctive kinds of sweet grapes grown in the mountains, which are crushed, fermented, distilled slowly, then matured for no less than six months. The nose is powerfully aromatic, presenting notes of herbs and spices. The palate is intense and offers flavors of anise (black licorice), leading into a lengthy and full finish with undertones of fresh herbs. October / November / December 2018
