Owned and managed by Krystle and Jason Jorgensen, Alley 6 supervises all stages of its spirit production. The rye is bottled at 86-proof, derived from a mash bill consisting of 78% rye and 22% malted barley. It is aged in new, heavily-charred American white oak barrels, following distillation in a 500-liter Alembic copper still. No age statement is provided for this whiskey.

The aroma and taste are reminiscent of cinnamon toast loaded with butter. It presents as very smooth, without an excessive burst of spice. It seems young, yet well-behaved; I don't mind the drawn-out finish.
Aroma: damp peat moss mixed with butterscotch. Flavor: Sweet earthy notes hinting at a scotch whiskey that fades to sweet pepper. Finish: a smooth creamy warmth that lingers slowly.
A touch of brown sugar sweetness at the start, then the spices emerge. Clove and abundant cinnamon. Bold rye flavor and gentle spice on the finish.
Full-bodied. Delicious rye. Not overly intense. Smooth like velvet. I will always keep this in my collection.
I concur with the tasting descriptions but detected a bit more berry spice from the rye.
