The name Tiê honors a bird considered a symbol of the Atlantic Forest and one of the world's most striking birds with its reddish plumage. Cachaça Tiê originates from Aiuruoca, in southern Minas Gerais, near the Circuito das Águas. It's part of the Terras Altas da Mantiqueira Circuit, the Serra do Papagaio, and the Serra da Mantiqueira State Park, recognized as a top city for Ecotourism with a strong tradition in artisanal cachaça production. Its artisanal creation combines traditional methods with essential good manufacturing practices for high quality, featuring a subtly perfumed flavor and aroma. From sugar cane cultivation to bottling, Cachaça Tiê undergoes strict quality checks. The sugar cane is cut manually, without fire, preventing undesirable compounds during fermentation in stainless steel vats with special yeast for a set period. The fermented must is then distilled in a copper still to create the final product. The heart of the distillate is stored in stainless steel and oak barrels, becoming Tiê Ouro or Tiê Prata. Cachaça Tiê Carvalho is aged for three years in oak barrels to achieve perfect maturation. This cachaça has a soft golden hue, with aromas reminiscent of caramel, smooth flavors, and a velvety texture. It's robust, with 42% alcohol. Aguardente Tiê Canelinha is legally classified as a mixed drink based on sugar cane spirit. It's made by blending Cachaça Tiê Ouro with Chinese cinnamon shavings. It offers unique and surprising aromas and flavors, where the freshness of sugar cane, a touch of spiciness, and balanced spice notes combine. It's robust, with 42% alcohol.
