A strong olive aroma, similar to other Mexican cane rums I've sampled, though not as dominant as Paranubes. A slight ethanol and mildew note, but in an appealing way. Earthy fungus on the palate, rich, vegetal, with light grass and anise on the finish. I believe I prefer this to the Uruapan.
