Aguardente de Cana Velha Motinha hails from Miravânia/MG. It's made in an alembic and aged in amburana. Some believe Velha Motinha possesses the original quality, which the "new" brand purportedly tried to capitalize on. The label depicts a kindly peasant woman in a floral dress with a childlike appearance, grinding sugarcane in a grassy area without any container for storage. It has notes of dried fruits, honey, noticeable alcohol, sweetness from sugarcane and wood, carpentry wood, and a medium to long finish.
