Murici, known internationally as Nance, is the 'golden fruit' that thrives in South America's tropical zones, from Brazil to Mexico. Its flavor is acidic and salty; according to Embrapa, it's comparable to sweet cheese. This brandy, made in the Acuruí district of Itabirito, Minas Gerais, is called 'Composta' due to aging in wooden barrels with added Murici fruit. The fusion of sugar cane spirit and Murici fruit yields a pleasant, fruity distillate with appealing sweetness and woody undertones. While online information is scarce, the drink is officially registered.
