About this bottle

This is the inaugural bottling in the brand's Oak Series, a new collection of experimental American whiskeys emphasizing cask maturation in various global oak types. This American whiskey underwent a 12-year aging process in French oak barrels, some charred and others uncharred. It is bottled at 50% ABV and will have restricted availability through an online lottery from April 4-11, 2024, via the brand's website, with winners required to make an in-person purchase at the ASB gift shop in Virginia. Shayla Bearden 4.3

Very pleasant and smooth. Initially, I get strong cherry flavors and some medicinal notes, reminiscent of cherry cough syrup but in a good way, without any syrupy texture. There's less "charred wood" than anticipated, but a subtle oakiness is present. The finish is moderately spicy, with hints of nutmeg and pepper. Opened for a 40th birthday celebration.

Ivan Becerra 4.0

Cherry, cooked fruit, smooth texture, tobacco notes.
