An exceptionally fine cognac - described as "refined and supple" on the label; it's subtle and nuanced, perhaps too much so for a VSOP, truly deserving of XO status based on its details, if not its classification. It contains notes of dried pears and apricots, caramel and vanilla sweetness, toffee and chocolate, nuts, and a peppery sharpness, all harmoniously balanced.
