Following their second release of First West Rye, 15 Stars has introduced First West Bourbon. This blend comprises straight bourbon whiskeys from Kentucky, Indiana, and Tennessee, aged for 15, 9, and 7 years, respectively. It is bottled at 106 proof (53% ABV) and will be available starting March 25, 2024, in Kentucky, Indiana, Tennessee, Missouri, Georgia, Louisiana, Florida, Massachusetts, Illinois, Wisconsin, Oklahoma, and Nebraska. The aroma strongly features cherry fruit and cinnamon spice. It tastes good, reminiscent of Cherry Robitussin with a quick fruit punch, then balances with strong oak char. It's a great sipper and excellent with an ice cube. I haven't heard much about the bottle, making it a great sleeper.
