About this bottle

Founded in 1843, Ypióca is among Brazil's oldest cachaça producers. The company emphasizes environmental responsibility, focusing on soil health for sugarcane cultivation and repurposing waste. Ouro, meaning "gold" in Portuguese, describes the color of this cachaça after two years aging in balsam wood. Its bottle is intricately woven with carnaúba palm straw, mirroring the Prata expression.

Liam Loya 4.0

Really good cachaca, with powerful yet delicate sugarcane and toasted cereal aromas, tempered by barrel aging. Excellent for caipirinhas and highly recommended at this price.

Verna Applegate 3.0

A slightly smoky introduction, somewhat like a Mezcal. A strong alcohol presence at the end.

Annamarie Dillard 3.5

Smells like flowers with a potent alcohol kick at the end.

Hector Harrell 3.0

A solid choice
