Cana Boa Cachaça

An intense spirit from Brazil, made with sugarcane juice. It presents an aromatic beginning of nail polish remover, earth, florals, herbs, and fruit; while a bold development adds hints of vanilla, overripe banana, lime, ripe tangerine, and lemongrass; leading to a long and harsh conclusion with a touch of pepper. Consumed neat. The aroma is sweet like sugar cane, with vegetal, banana pudding, earthy, slightly herbal, floral notes, and a touch of funk. The taste mirrors the aroma. Nicely balanced sweetness with moderate dryness and that faint hint of banana pudding. Would be excellent in cocktails, serving as a rum substitute in tropical drinks.
