Yes, another MGP 95 proof rye, how boring. I approached this with very low hopes (a coworker kindly gifted me this bottle) but was pleasantly surprised. I'm not going to go over the tasting notes since MGP rye is widely recognized and its flavors are common in many contexts. This expression, though, is more restrained. It offers a gentler flavor profile, lacking the dill and bite. Dare I say it's smoother than many of its kind? Not as good as James Pepper Barrel Proof, but superior to some other MGP varieties. I understand that complimentary spirits always taste better, and I probably wouldn't buy it myself, but I'm still assigning it a respectable score……74/100……your mileage may vary.

A nice kick with an easy finish. Rye is prominent in the grain bill. This offers great value. Similar to High West Double Rye.
It begins acceptably but concludes somewhat rough. Considering the cost, I feel superior choices exist.
Smooth, with caramel aroma and taste. A pleasant sipping whiskey without any additions.
Likely the worst bourbon I've ever experienced.
Rye, smooth, a brief bite at the end, easy to drink
