I really enjoy this. From start to finish, it's quite distinct. It possesses a substantial amount of flavor and complexity. The cherrywood smoked barley is fantastic, and the rye contributes a good measure of spice and flavor. The grain blend creates a very balanced taste. It has a slight astringency, but it doesn't detract from the overall experience. This bottle is among my top 3 favorites.

It's certainly a unique experience. As the tasting notes suggest, it doesn't seem as young as it is. I'd prefer it to be younger, as the cherrywood would likely be too overpowering if it aged longer. Overall, it's an enjoyable and unique change of pace. I wasn't thrilled with the aroma initially, but it improved as I drank more.
Spicy, followed by sweetness. I also detect richness and vanilla. It seems stronger than 98 proof, or perhaps I haven't had whiskey recently. Good with water.
The cherrywood aroma is beautifully subtle and noticeable. Excellent balance.
Cherry flavors are definitely present, but in my opinion, they detract from the whiskey.
Smoky and sweet. A superb addition to your Rye selection.
