This small batch blend combines Scotch malt whisky with whisky made from Japanese grain grown in the Yamanashi Prefecture. It ages for 3 to 8 years in Mizunara oak and is bottled non chill-filtered at 40% ABV.

A bit weak, lacking smoke, but sweet with hints of caramel. This whisky has a light aroma. The palate offers notes of caramel and honey. The finish is brief but enjoyable. In a time when people seek out Japanese Whisky, Yamato presents a worthy alternative.
