About this bottle

The fifth iteration of Wyoming Whiskey's Outryder Straight American Whiskey, which features a rye-forward profile, combines their 10-year-old "almost rye" (48% rye, 40% corn, 12% malt) and bourbon (68% corn, 20% rye, 12% malt) with two rye whiskeys distilled in early 2017 (51% rye, 37% corn, 12% malt) and bourbon (68% corn, 20% rye, 12% malt). All components are made from non-GMO grains, and the whiskey is proofed with water sourced from Wyoming. It is bottled at 100 proof, with a total of 11,520 bottles distributed in the US starting in November 2021.

Lilia Bynum 3.5

NOSE Cereal sweetness, oak, spiced apples, caramel, graham crackers, and a hint of vanilla. What's present is pleasant and fresh, but it's very light. Much lighter than previous versions I've had. PALATE Grainy sweetness, candy sweetness, oak, cinnamon, dried fruit, and a subtle toffee and vanilla. Wow, this is somewhat unusual. The spice starts subtly but builds until it competes with the sweetness while remaining balanced. FINISH Medium length; grainy-sweetness, cinnamon, and vanilla gradually fade, leaving behind oakiness.
