NOSE Lemony copper, herbal baking spice, vanilla taffy, and a faint hint of oak. Without dilution, the aroma is quite subdued. With water, I detect slightly more wood and dried fruit, but it's minimal. PALATE Lemony metallic notes, tannic aged wood, dried fruit, stale spice, and some peculiar herbal notes. Water is detrimental to this whiskey. Adding it amplifies the tannic aged wood flavor significantly, leaving only that woody note and the metallic lemon taste. FINISH Medium-long, featuring aged wood and metallic lemon.
