Ruthie Beavers 2.0

Quite let down by this one. It's smooth with simple, muted sweet flavors and generally lacks distinction. It's not bad, just rather dull. It might serve well for mixing, but a less expensive spirit would suffice. Considering its retail price (at least in my region), Lot No. 9 would be a superior option for those exploring Canadian rye whiskies. I'd normally rate it 2.5/5, but its price relative to alternatives compels me to reduce the score by at least half a point.

Grace Seifert 3.0

Smells of brown sugar, baked apple, maple water, spices, and mild alcohol. The flavors are less intense, with prominent alcohol and spices, and some brown sugar. After the alcohol mellows, there are brief fruity notes (apricot and pear), followed by dry wood and lingering alcohol. A bit disappointing for a 5-year maturation.

Robbie Messer 3.5

Nose: Cloves and a little peanut. A little licorice and wax. Taste: Some walnut and anise. Finish: Black pepper and toast. Kind of all over the place. Interesting notes in the neat pour. Experience and mouthfeel are watery and spicy at the same time. It might grow on me. Was awesome in a Sazerac.

Hope Whitehead 2.8

Good whiskey for mixing, cocktails. But I prefer whiskey with more character. I notice this whiskey has Gin Aromas. For whiskey aged 5 to 7 years, I was really disappointed. No sweetness, no vanilla, no caramel flavor.

Homer Perdomo 2.0

Extremely uninteresting. Suitable for mixing. Its sale price makes it somewhat more agreeable.

Pat Loomis 1.0

It tastes overwhelmingly of alcohol and seems immature; not very enjoyable.
