Smell: Refined. Cooked agave, warm caramel, toasted almond ice cream. A hint of crème brûlée. Taste: A warming, complex journey. Wow. It evolves as it sits. Agave, baking spices, bold cinnamon, and a balanced herbal hint of the region's terroir all interact at once. A very smooth mouthfeel that envelops and coats the palate. Very satisfying. Finish: Long and mouthwatering. Cinnamon, sweet agave, and a tiny drop of freshly picked honeysuckle nectar.

About this bottle
Produced in the Tequila Valley under the supervision of Master Distiller Salvador Rosales Trejo, known as "Chava," this additive-free tequila is made from 100% blue Weber agave. The agave is roasted for 72 hours in stone ovens, crushed using a Tahona, undergoes natural fermentation with fibers, and is distilled twice in stainless steel and copper pot stills. This variant is aged for at least 2 months in former bourbon barrels and is bottled at 86 proof.

The aroma strongly evokes the desert after rainfall - damp creosote, minerals. The barrel influence is subtle, with the agave taking center stage - featuring some vegetal notes, herbs, parsley, and a slightly earthy finish. The brief barrel aging adds just a whisper of caramel. The nose is truly the highlight here.
Lightly aged, with a prominent agave character. This embodies the essence of tequila. With 43% ABV, there's ample complexity to hold your interest. I'll be enjoying this all evening. I found this in Southern California.
