About this bottle

Liquid Death partnered with WhistlePig for this limited edition high wheat whiskey, crafted with almost exclusively wheat. The spirit matured in new American charred oak barrels before resting in 380-gallon charred oak caskets. It was diluted to 86 proof (43% ABV) using Liquid Death Mountain Water. This bottling will be offered nationwide and online starting June 24, 2025, with a suggested retail price of $74.99.

Rebellious Spirit Without Roughness A joint effort from WhistlePig and Liquid Death results in GraveStock Wheat Whiskey. What might have been all show and fury instead offers a drink that is assuredly mellow—more expertly shaped than crudely hammered. It presents an image of defiance but is constructed with polish. - Aroma: Mild and pure, akin to maple smoothed to a fine texture. Vanilla emerges softly, joined by a subtle sweet grain that lingers like fine particles in bright workshop air. - Taste: Wheat provides the base—broad-grained and accommodating, like panels glued together without needing extra material. Rye contributes understated complexity, never dominating, like a beveled edge that subtly reflects light. - Aftertaste: A gradual and measured heat, similar to oil penetrating end grain—no burning, no sudden intensity, simply richness and calm. The dilution using Liquid Death Mountain Water seems like treating timber with a precious lubricant—an interesting concept that is understated in its effect. It softens edges, smooths changes, but does not leave a strong mark on the flavor. A high-quality addition that hints rather than proclaims. GraveStock is a skillfully made, fundamental creation: not ostentatious but accurate and purposeful. It stays together without fuss, remains balanced without flaws, and appeals to the person who values substance over show. A bottle that is more custom-made than mass-marketed.

Adequate. 86 proof that comes across as even lighter.

Notes of cinnamon and wheat toast.
