The first batch release for 2025 of Bernheim Barrel Proof Wheat Whiskey is designated A225. This is an allocated product that is released twice annually. Its composition mirrors the Original expression, utilizing a mash bill of 51% wheat, 37% corn, and 12% malted barley, with an age range of 7-9 years. It is bottled at 125.4 proof (62.8% ABV). Batch A225 is expected to be available at select retailers starting in late February 2025. (SRP $66.99)

The nose features sweet spiced oak and dusty wheat. It has a viscous and silky texture. There's the signature nutty note from Heaven Hill. Wheat sugar, light caramel, muddled fruit, and candy oak spice are present. The finish is slightly drying with a medium warmth. Not outstanding, but a very good pour comparable to the HH barrel proof releases. I anticipate the bottle will open up with time.
