A friend gave me a sample. I usually prefer scotch, but this was fantastic. It's complex and distinctive, with an almost overly sweet and sticky character and a great mouthfeel. This 6-year-old is at a perfect strength to showcase the many flavors in this superb dram. I detect cherry, chocolate, honey, molasses, sugar, vanilla, toffee, raisins, and even a hint of mocha. The Westland single cask 2542 was an ideal dessert whisky this evening and earns my highest recommendation.

Visited the distillery and tried this one. A bold sherry character is prominent, followed by a persistent note of raspberry preserves. Truly excellent!
