About this bottle
Westland Distillery's Cask Exchange Release series debuts with this bottling. For this release, the brand sent whiskey barrels to Kulshan Brewing Co. in Bellingham, Wa., where they were used to age a Russian Imperial Stout. The brewery returned the used barrels to Westland for aging this American single malt whiskey. Crafted from five distinct barley malts, the whiskey aged a minimum of 53 months in the ex-stout barrels and Cooper's Reserve new American oak. Production was limited to 176 bottles.
