A subtly sweet aroma, with fruit over oak and malt. Dark berry or grape, perfectly balanced. Full-bodied and spicy, fiery on the tongue with a significant peppery tingle. The same sweetness is blended in, rich, and still some sort of berry, I believe. The sweet and spice are perfect opposites, and the proof balances the intensity of the flavor. I've always enjoyed Westland's cask exchanges, and this one is no exception.
