This is Binny's #2122 @ 120 proof Smell- Popcorn ball, maple syrup, apricot, dusty corn. Taste - Maple sugar, brown sugar, stone fruit, and some intensity. The sweeter notes have a pitted fruit character like peach and ripe nectarine. The texture is average, perhaps a bit thinner than I expected. Finish- Medium to long. Warming and oaky. The intensity fades and it's nicely balanced. Overall- A satisfying bottle. An easy sipper at 120 proof. It sneaks up on you a little bit😁. I might be slightly biased because I find recent JD barrel proof selections to be much superior, BUT it's a bottle worth getting! I believe where it fell short for me was the alcohol on the palate. This bottle is likely a 5-7 year old Tennessee whiskey with some rough edges. There are some notes suggesting young oak influence, indicating an 8-10 year old would be significantly better. I don't dislike it, and it's a great introduction to a brand I will now pay attention to. Finish-,

This single barrel expression was a memorable part of my visit to Uncle Nearest distillery. Nose: grain whiskey, vanilla, honeycomb, and milk chocolate. Palate: milk chocolate, with salty and grainy notes. Finish: tobacco, dry notes, sugar, vanilla s'mores, and sulfur. Overall, this superb Tennessee whiskey is among the finest I experienced during my whiskey travels in Kentucky and Tennessee. It's solid, enjoyable, sweet, salty, and bitter. My rating is 92 out of 100.

A spicy aroma leaps out, stinging the nose right away. After resting for several minutes, a prominent vanilla note appears. The initial taste has a slight burn but evolves into a pleasing experience. Adding ice brings out some subtle qualities, but doesn't significantly alter it.

Sweet and easy to drink. The finish isn't too harsh, but it also lacks complexity. Nice, but not outstanding.
