Aroma: Rich crème brûlée, honey, mild herbs and baking spices, some subtle tobacco Taste: Root beer float, sweet yet tart apple, the alcohol is noticeable but not overwhelming, some baking spices Finish: Gentle licorice, the alcohol smooths out considerably, soft cinnamon candy and mint Overall: I wasn't expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised. I suspect the aging in Wisconsin's cold climate is why it's not incredibly expressive or complex at this age and proof. But it's nice for the trade I made for my second high-proof rye.
