About this bottle

Master Distiller Troy Ball places significant importance on the rare heirloom Turkey Red Wheat and the white corn used in all her whiskeys. The North Carolina distillery's guiding principle is “White corn for families, yellow corn for animals.” While there is no age statement and limited details regarding the aging period of this Blonde Whiskey, its name accurately reflects its light color.

Douglas Roth 3.0

A clear improvement over the T & S Reserve. The heirloom wheat contributes to a more consistent sweetness and a richer mouthfeel. There's just a subtle hint of smoke and aged leather with a mild finish. Their website seems to market this spirit towards women interested in exploring the world of whiskey, using the tagline "a kinder spirit." I can certainly see this as a welcome alternative in traditional whiskey cocktails. As a note regarding the original review, I've bought two bottles and haven't encountered any issues with sediment.

Randall Nielsen 3.0

Very smooth, sweet, and the vanilla is definitely detectable. Overall, it's not bad.

Sonia Beck 1.8

Tastes very young, too much like rubbing alcohol.

Sterling Sage 4.0

Sweet and mellow with minimal sharpness.

Arlo Clinton 2.0

From Longman & Eagle.
