Katina Mullins 3.5

I'm fond of that store, though some of my companions find it unremarkable, being just a normal part of their local area. I consider it a destination whenever I visit another country. During a trip to California, I was surprised to find spirits available there, as regulations differ by state. This particular Scotch was produced in 1998 and aged in oak barrels, with only a limited quantity released. Its aroma presents oak cask and candied orange notes, later joined by floral honey and vanilla. Upon tasting, a wave of heat quickly appears and fades. I find this Scotch savory, akin to plain crackers, and slightly viscous, with oak and a hint of citrus. The finish is rather brief and dry, carrying hints of peat and grain. While not overly complex, its affordability makes it suitable for casual drinking when a more refined bottle isn't desired. I suspect it would be even more enjoyable served over ice. 7.25/10
