(SMWS Glasgow, 'In Yer Own Gaff' Virtual Tasting. January 26, 2021) Distillery: Loch Lomond (Inchmurrin) Distilled: August 25, 2004 Age: 14 years Cask: 2nd Fill Ex-Bourbon Hogshead Bottles: 272 Aroma: Sweet, Acetone, fish oil, candle wax Palate: Musty, muddy, tobacco, earthy. Sweet and herbal, green bell pepper Finish: Sweet, forest floor, earthy, caramel. Vegetal & sulfur With a touch of water, it becomes much more papery and reveals more floral notes. I prefer it without, but I'm not particularly fond of floral notes in a whisky. I'm not typically a major fan of this distillery's products. However, I quite enjoy this dram. It possesses a raw and earthy character, yet is also sweet.
