Catalina Goodson 2.0

Togouchi Blended ABV: 40% (80 proof) Origin: Japan, Hiroshima (Blend of Scotch and Canadian whiskey - % N/A) Mashbill: Blend of grain and malt from (% N/A) Age Statement: N/A Casks: Ex-Bourbon and Ex-Islay (Rumored) On the nose, this whiskey doesn't reveal much. There's a hint of smoke, a floral note, and a sweet vanilla note, but it's quite indistinct. Malt is the primary aroma. Beyond these superficial and rather weak notes, there's not much depth. On the palate, the floral note is more pronounced, and the smoke comes through quite well. There's a touch of vanilla again. Other than that, not much else. The finish is short and rather unremarkable. Overall, I believe this whiskey is far too young. Given the relatively lax Japanese whiskey regulations, it's difficult to ascertain its true composition. It's possible that much of the contents of this bottle were not produced in Japan but rather in Scotland and America, only to be aged there. I am disappointed with this bottling, to say the least. I would rather drink water; the flavors are virtually identical unfortunately.

Tony Fernandez 3.8

Tastes like typical grain whisky. Lacks some depth.
