Lorelei Broderick 4.0

A subtle, soft sweetness greets the palate first; much like many fine Japanese whiskies, its subtlety is captivating. It has a substantial spicy character, cedar on the palate, with a soft, agave syrup-like finish that isn't cloying. Certainly a distinguished after-dinner whisky.

Lenore Massie 4.3

This definitely stands out when compared directly to the traditional version. There's a faint mineral note near the end, which I suspect is the source of its name. An excellent example of a good Japanese whisky at this price point.

Maxine Crowe 5.0

Very good and mellow spirit with notes of sandalwood, lemon zest, pomegranate, almonds, and berries.
