This whisky from Chugoku Jozo Spirits Distillers in Togouchi is a blend of 40% Scottish malts and 60% Canadian grain whiskies, aged in disused railway tunnels in Japan. Founded in 1918, Chugoku Jozo's primary products are sake and shochu, the latter of which is aged alongside their whisky. The railway tunnels are noted for maintaining a consistent temperature of 14 ºC (57.2 ºF) and 80% humidity. It is bottled at 43% ABV.

An unusual spirit. A fruity, fragrant nose with some new wood notes, accompanied by an alcohol bite. It appears to be a very inexpensive dram. The taste is better, with perfumed and citric notes and a fruity finish.
Silky smooth with a buttery character, a touch of peat that isn't overpowering.
