I was curious about hop whiskey and found it was just as I imagined, but I didn't love it. It had a more pronounced herbal and earthy character than I wanted, though I anticipated this. It was stronger than expected. I finished a bottle, trying it in various ways. Initially, neat, it was more pungent than I foresaw. On ice, it was easier to drink but diluted too much. Experimenting with an old fashioned variation, I swapped orange for lime, thinking the citrus would complement the botanicals, but it was terrible. My preferred way was a larger pour with one ice cube, chilled and slightly diluted to tame the pungency without weakening it. I don't regret buying it, but I won't buy it again. It's a good whiskey, just not for me.

A smooth American Whiskey, but I'm not detecting the hops I was anticipating. You'll be let down if you expect an IPA. It's not as aromatic as gin. I tried it neat and with a little water. I'll drink it, but it lacks the hops I was hoping for. Perhaps it's an older bottle? Batch 1.
This is an excellent whiskey with great flavor that isn't overly hoppy. It's smooth and inviting, making you want another drink. While their 12 Spices of Christmas version is acceptable, this one is superior.
Initially, I enjoyed it, but my appreciation decreased upon subsequent tastings. After the third time, the aroma was so off-putting that I discarded the remainder.
This is enjoyable. A superior hopped whiskey in my experience, as the whiskey character remains prominent. Pleasant pine notes.
Smells like pine, tastes great and has no burn.
