Thistle Finch Black Pepper Flavored Whiskey

The aroma is much better than the taste. On the nose, I get honey and chrysanthemum tea, strongly reminiscent of an instant chrysanthemum tea my mother used to buy from the Asian market when I was younger. Rum notes are also present on the nose. Flavor-wise, it's a sweet, rum-like whiskey with hints of sweet tea. I pick up the flavor aspect of tellicherry peppercorn but none of its spice. I would have expected the reverse. Frankly, this tastes like a mix of cheap sweet tea vodka and rum. I'm unsure what to do with this. If you're looking for whiskey, it's a 1.5/5. If you're simply seeking an interesting flavored spirit, it might be a 2.5/5.
