An independently bottled Bunnahabhain, this 10-year-old whisky comes from casks owned by Jack Wieber and was bottled by Laing Co. A pleasant, clean, and sweet aroma greets you with this pale amber spirit. It's a small batch, and I suspect only ex-bourbon barrels were used. The nose also carries hints of lovely vanilla and soft white wine, with a touch of sweet vinegar. Additionally, notes of apple crumble and dry hay are present. Quite enjoyable. While not overpoweringly strong, it certainly possesses considerable character. The palate is maltily sweet with a fitting touch of soft ginger spice and a mild yet clear fruity tartness. A pleasing spicy and rich finish completes this satisfying whisky. It's uncomplicated. It's direct. It's refreshing. It's a good whisky.
