Joanne Vidal 4.3

The aroma brings notes of honey, apple blossoms, syrup, and a hint of ethanol. It's very floral, with a pleasant oily texture on the palate, followed by some caramel, a subtle herbal conclusion with hints of black tea, and a toffee-induced ethanol sting. Adding a touch of water elevates the experience. I was quite pleased, especially given the age, as it really highlights the distillate. It might be among the superior malts I've encountered with less than a decade of aging.

Danika Vance 4.5

The nose has notes of buttercream, ashy herbs, and pears. The palate has flavors of bitter biscuits, ash, green pepper, and a chewy Charleston candy bar. It's gritty and potent, with a dry oak finish.
