The Scarlet Ibis Trinidad Rum

The aroma is a semi-sweet acetone. Yuck. This flavor is very forward with cinnamon. I'm not fond of this as a sipper, but it works well as a mixer, especially if you want a little kick in your drink. Rating is based on sipping it neat.

Notes of spice and tobacco. Boozy with a slight brown sugar finish. An acceptable sipper and a passable mixer. Easily gets lost in cocktails. I won't repurchase and will seek a different rum for mixing next time.

Nice flavor, with a tingle on the tongue and lips (but not the throat!).
