The cask is bourbon and Ferrand. The scent of alcohol is somewhat overwhelming; I could detect nothing beyond a sense of sweetness. Apart from the alcohol's 'sting,' the flavor is a faint raisin. Very faint. For the cost, it's a letdown. However, my wife, who is from Trinidad, absolutely adores it with cola! The rating is based on sipping it neat.
