Licorice, disinfectant, and iodine are prominent initially, followed by a surge of robust peat. This is a rather sweet drink that initially numbs the tongue. It seems a bit young, but that's fine if you're after a strong peat impact. A splash of water amplifies the peat but seems to mute the more delicate notes rather than enhance them. The finish is a tingling, salty, sea-like sensation that eventually fades to just smoke and peat.
