I'm enjoying this at The Lakes Distillery in the northern part of the Lake District. The scenery is stunning, and the drive through rugged peaks, sheep-filled valleys, and shimmering lakes is equally impressive. You navigate these narrow, single-car roads through some of the most beautiful parts of England...truly breathtaking. The distillery itself is situated in an idyllic location, surrounded by mountains and valleys. So...unfortunately, this pour is unremarkable...grainy and sweet, a blend of English whiskey aged in sherry casks. Easily forgotten...but the drive from Keswick was the opposite of forgettable. Skip the whiskey, definitely take the drive.

Tasting the Sherry cask expression at 46.6% ABV - Notes of nuts and oak, cherry with a bitter aftertaste, oily and complex, sweet with a blend of dark spices.
A quite enjoyable blend with a pleasant sherry finish. A nice smoky undertone, not overly sweet.
