Glen Keith Distillery Edition

Is this a good drink? Is the national animal of Scotland a unicorn? The answers are hell no and amazingly yes. Okay, it's not terrible, but the only thing sadder than a mothballed distillery is a mothballed distillery that came back to life for little purpose. I see the 21 year wasn't outstanding either. Think Chivas Regal, of which this is a component, and you've summed up this one's character. Weak, flaccid, and not much going on. Still, like a blend, it's not offensive, no burn or imbalance. 3...barely.

Nose: light fruits, floral, citrus zest Palate: orange, light pepper Finish: very light wood, salted caramel A decent dram, even if a bit uninspiring. I had this while on vacation in Scotland and purchased a bottle because I hadn't encountered it before.

Initially a bit sweet and sharp, but a very drinkable whiskey. A less expensive, though less complex, version of a Macallan.

Features crisp apple and toffee notes – very sweet and smooth.

Pleasant, not smoky at all.

Is it alright?
