The ONE Whisky marks the debut release from The Lakes Distillery, an English producer situated in Cumbria's Lake District. Since the distillery only commenced whisky production in December 2014, and The ONE was launched before their own spirit reached three years of age, it is a blended whisky composed of whiskies from various parts of the British Isles.

Sample from the Summerton Virtual Whisky Festival. This whisky presents a lot of upfront citrus, initially creating a rather tart flavor, but it rapidly evolves into a quite pleasing sweet and spicy dram. The finish remains spicy, yet recedes back to the initial tart citrus notes. All in all, it's a sufficiently enjoyable dram, but not particularly noteworthy.
A wonderful peaty whisky, remarkably refined. It's comparable to a more elegant version of a particular 10-year-old bottling.
