Some smoky notes reminiscent of peat. The majority of the flavor is on the front of the tongue, with a stronger alcohol burn than the ABV would suggest. It's not exceptional, but it's pleasant enough to warrant trying another offering from Lakes.

A hint of vanilla, followed by warmth and spice, perhaps a bit of smoke and salt. However, it leaves a bitter aftertaste, and not in a pleasant way.
