The aroma is a pleasant light grain with a hint of honey. A subtle trace, as if a spice box passed by the barrel during aging. Spice becomes more noticeable as it sits, but never dominates. The taste is young and somewhat rough, with a moderate campfire smoke emerging. Light fruit, like apple or pear, appears on the finish after the smoke fades. Strong wood notes follow a larger swallow. It seems a bit too young and unrefined, lacking cohesion. I'd be curious to taste it with a few more years of aging.
