Fukano Whisky 10 Year

An elegant Japanese spirit from the Fukano family Distillery in Hitoyoshi, Japan, crafted from malted rice and distilled in stainless steel vats, aged for ten years in Brandy casks. It presents an aromatic beginning with hints of florals, mixed citrus, and sandalwood; followed by a complex and smooth journey featuring notes of warm sake, exotic spices, mint, green plum, and marmalade; concluding with a rich, medium-length finish of marzipan, raisins, orange, and oak. Remarkable whiskey. The aroma is citrusy with abundant floral notes, reminiscent of orange blossom honey but less sweet. Flavors include spices over an orange marmalade foundation. It's not as sweet as the nose suggested. The medium to long finish offers more orange and a lasting sweetness.

Incredibly interesting and delicious! I detect green grape, plum, possibly pear, a hint of coconut, marzipan, and even a creme brulee flavor. Wonderful and very fruity.

My taste buds are a bit messed up so I need another sip. But what I'm getting is good! It's mellow and easy to drink. There's a delicate sweet butter or caramel flavor that is rather pleasant.
