About this bottle

Fukano 6000 was unveiled in November 2018, concurrently with three other limited edition releases: Fukano Vault Reserve 1, Vault Reserve 2, and Fukano Jikan. All four limited editions are blends of whiskies aged between three and eleven years. Some of the whisky underwent initial cask maturation before being transferred to different tanks for up to 16 years of resting. The brand then created four distinct combinations from these tanks after individual tasting. The label artwork was created by Los Angeles-based artist WhiskyAnorach. A global total of 1,200 bottles were produced, and the spirit is bottled at 40.4% ABV.

Nose - Smells like pleasant floral pear cider, with hints of cherry blossoms, light cedar wood/sharpness, subtle coconut, and toasted white sesame seeds mixed with white sugar. Taste - Quite thin, with a gentle floral/fruity warmth, notes of coconut, macadamia nuts, buttery toffee, hints of cinnamon, and a slight clove bitterness. Finish - A lingering gentle warmth, with a clean, waxy/buttery sweetness and a light floral/fruity cherry blossom scented simple syrup. Score - 86/100 Final Thoughts - I found this quite enjoyable throughout. It certainly smells like a blended whiskey, possibly with a high proportion of grain or even being a blended grain whisky. Regardless, it's a whiskey that's easy to sip. It has a nice floral and buttery toffee foundation. It's tasty, but not remarkable. I'd suggest enjoying it neat or in a highball. Would I drink it if offered? - Yes Would I specifically order it? - No Would I buy a bottle? - Not at the price I paid
