About this bottle
The Balvenie Tun 1401, Batch 8 is a combination of casks from the distillery's Warehouse 24. Bottled in 2013, it features a vatting of nine American oak casks and three European oak sherry butts. These casks, selected by Malt Master David Stewart, span several decades in age. The whisky underwent a marrying process of several months in Tun 1401, The Balvenie's traditional oak vessel for this purpose. This release was exclusively for the European market.
